Writing a strong essay starts with a clear argument and solid support. With thesify.ai, simply upload your draft and let our AI help you strengthen your thesis statement, improve your structure, and find the most relevant, high-quality resources to back up your ideas. Designed specifically for students, thesify takes the guesswork out of academic writing, so you can focus on building essays that are clear, convincing, and ready to impress.
Upload your draft
Begin by uploading your draft using the box on the homepage, you can upload your file in either Word or PDF format, with a maximum size of 10MB. Your documents are fully protected and kept confidential.
Add details on your thesis
As part of the onboarding process, you’ll be asked to provide a few key details about your essay to help Thesify tailor its feedback. Let us know if you're the author, select the type of document you're working on and share any instructions you received from your professor. By filling these, the AI will be able to adapt its suggestions and generate some specific sections.
Read feedback summary
On the right side of the screen, you will find your detailed feedback summary, which highlights the strengths of your essay, areas for improvement, and an overall assessment. The AI will outline what works well in your argument and writing, what can be enhanced for greater clarity, and provide Theo’s recommendations with high-impact suggestions for refining your thesis and structure.
Check suggested topics
You’ll also find a list of suggested topics presented as questions related to your essay. These questions are designed to help you assess whether you've fully addressed all relevant aspects of your topic. This feedback helps you evaluate how well each question has been answered and shows where you can refine your arguments to strengthen your overall response.
Improve purpose
Find feedback on the purpose of your essay, generated using a few acceptance criteria based on the instructions you provided during the onboarding process. The purpose of your essay is assessed on how well it communicates ideas, argues a point, informs, and engages the reader. This helps ensure your essay effectively serves its intended purpose and strengthens your overall argument.
Review your thesis statement
Check the feedback on your thesis statement, which is extracted from your text using a series of acceptance criteria and tests to challenge your main argument. You’ll find the criteria used to evaluate your thesis, along with the assessment for each. If the extracted thesis statement isn’t correct or needs adjustment, you can easily edit it within this section.
Assess the quality of your evidence
Don't forget to check out the evidence section! The AI evaluates how well your evidence supports your thesis, with recommendations for improvement where necessary.
Check the readability score
Last but not least, check the feedback on your readability score, based on the Flesch–Kincaid readability tests. This score assesses the complexity of your writing, helping you understand how easy or difficult your text is to read.
How to keep improving?
To find valuable resources for your thsis, simply use the Resources tab to look up new references and see Theo's tailored suggestions. If we have the complete document in our database, you’ll be able to view Theo's Digest, a summary that highlights everything you need to know about the publication before diving into the full text. This feature helps you save time and focus on the most relevant information for your research.
